Helen and Taylor met in Denver through mutual friends. What started as group hangs turned into something more, and they've been choosing each other ever since.
Taylor proposed at Devil's Thumb Ranch during a quiet birthday getaway. Just the two of them, the way Helen wanted it. They celebrated together that evening before telling anyone the news.
For the wedding, they wanted mountains and the people they love. They chose Creekside Ranch in Crested Butte, where the valley opens up and the peaks rise behind you.
The ceremony took place by the river with the mountains as the backdrop. Simple, beautiful, exactly what it needed to be.
Helen and Taylor exchanged vows they'd written, standing together with the water moving behind them and the Elk Mountains stretching across the horizon.
The setting spoke for itself.
Guests gathered beneath a white tent set in the valley, its sides open to let the landscape pour in. Floral tablecloths added color, and every piece of paper goods was designed and hand cut by Helen herself.
The details mattered because of what they represented. The vodka table during cocktail hour. The traditional Russian "Charochka," where Helen's dad led a song before guests shouted "Gorko!" to prompt kisses from the couple throughout the night.
The dance floor filled after dinner and stayed that way. Helen changed into red cowboy boots and danced under the mountain sky until the music faded.
It felt less like the end of a wedding and more like the beginning of something they'll keep celebrating for the rest of their lives.
My Mind is blow away with this album!
